The Ant Principle

Ants impress by their productiveness. A perfect communication system is the base of their unique efficiency. During the course of activity, they leave without any additional efforts odor trails which steer and stimulate their co-workers.

In an area of 5,000 km² 50 trucks are supposed to transport sugar beets to a factory. These sugar beet fields are widely scattered and 4 loaders move from one heap to the next to load the trucks. If the individual truck drivers always knew where those loaders and the other vehicles are positioned, they could independently decide which loader they head for as the next. Queues and empty runs with the loaders could be minimized and efficiency increased without costly planning.

It is Geochronix that allows for the first time - by means of Google Earth and other high performance tools - an easy, reasonable and therefore marketable realization of GIS projects and GIS applications according to this ant principle.
