Compliance and Human Resources
Welcome to the group "Compliance and Human Resources" (HR Compliance)
HR Compliance was established to exchange experience and to transfer know-how with respect to all questions of compliance and human resources. "Compliance" is perceived as compliance with statutory requirements. "Human Resources" describes the interface between compliance, employment law and human resources management.
In this group, we will be discussing all questions with respect to the duties of employers to ensure their employees' compliance with statutory requirements.
From a human resources point of view two main topics for discussion can be identified:
1. Which areas of employment law in particular require compliance, e.g. due to statutory duties to protect employees, imminent claims for damages, management being liable to prosecution? Examples are the Act of General Equal Treatment (Allgemeines Gleichbehandlungsgesetz - AGG), data protection, health and safety or social security.
2. How can compliance with human resources requirements and with duties from other areas of the law (e.g. stock exchange, anti trust law or Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX)) be achieved in an effective and efficient way under employment law? Examples are the establishment of compliance schemes, codes of ethics, grievance schemes, whistle-blowing hotlines, introduced by way of authority to give instructions, employment contract or works agreement.
All professionals engaged in human resources and compliance (personnel specialists, managers, compliance officers) as well as anyone interested working in science, judicature, politics and from public authorities may join.
The added value of this group will originate from the communication of its members, discussions, questions and answers, tips and any other helpful participation.
