Fundraising event for The Hunger Project
As part of my fundraising commitment as a new trustee for the Hunger Project in the UK, I have organised an event in Oxford, England in November. I thought it would be of interest to some of you out there also involved in fundraising events.

    Sizzling Singles Supper

Oxfordshire’s singles (in their 30s-50s) have an opportunity to get connected at the Sizzling Singles Supper. Held on Saturday 24th November from 7:30pm at The Big Bang on Walton Street, this event will bring together 50 single people to have a fun evening, enjoy good quality local food and raise money for The Hunger Project to empower women and men across the world to end their own hunger.

There’s a website where people can get more details and book their place: http://www.sizzlingsuppers.com/index.php

Unlike other events for single people, this one is about combining a love for good quality, local produce (the majority of The Big Bang’s produce is sourced within 20 miles of the restaurant) and contributing to an entrepreneurial organisation called The Hunger Project, which invests in people’s potential enabling them to overcome hunger and poverty. There’ll be a charity auction on the evening with items such as dinner for 2 at a variety of local restaurants and pamper sessions (for both the women and men).

Do let me know what you're organising/have organised and what worked and what didn't.

    Best wishes
