  I just bought my ticket for The Hunger Project Gala concert hosted by Dionne Warwick and Friends to support World Hunger Day, on the 9th January 2011 at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, London.
  
  Please come and join me and have a wonderful evening and contribute to this worthy cause too.

  World Hunger Day Briefing - Empowering People. Ending Hunger, 9th January 2011

  Additionally, on World Hunger Day, there will be an afternoon briefing at the Park Plaza Hotel in Victoria (just up the road from the Concert venue) from 2pm-4:30pm.
  
  The briefing will feature inspiring leaders from The Hunger Project in Africa, South Asia and Latin America, who will share their direct experience of mobilising communities at the grassroots level to end their own hunger and meet their basic needs.
  
  Speakers include:
  
  Pascal Djohossou - Country Director for The Hunger Project Benin mobilising people to take self-reliant action
  
  Rita Sarin - Vice-President and the Country Director of The Hunger Project India empowering women to be key change agents
  
  Lorena Vazquez - Country Director for The Hunger Project Mexico building partnerships with local government
  
  We are delighted that The Hunger Project's new President and CEO, Mary Ellen McNish will chair the briefing.
