CATENON Amsterdam Business Case: Sales Manager in China
Catenon Amsterdam is pleased to share with you a successful business case example regarding how we were able to satisfy a client´s needs and find them a Sales Manager in China.

Our client is among the top players in the office interiors industry, having experienced strong growth in both mature and emerging markets over the past years. Despite a crisis in their sector which has seen revenues drop dramatically, they have been able to continue their expansion, particularly in emerging territories.

In line with their strategy, they needed to hire a dynamic Sales Manager in China with a strong network, international experience, and the ability to build brand awareness and commercial success. After holding a detailed brief with the client, we were quickly able to create a search strategy that reflected the local market, and was heavily focused on direct search. As the search progressed, we established that personal networks were a key way of accessing candidates, and rolled out a candidate referral initiative. By actively incentivizing our contacts to share their network with us, we were able to quickly and successfully reach suitable candidates. By focusing on the network as a key search tool, we were not only able to find candidates, but we also simultaneously ensured that one of the key requirements for the role was met. Namely, the candidates we had were certainly well networked!

We closed the role within the agreed upon timeframe, and the candidate is successfully tackling the challenge of expanding in the promising Chinese market.
