Absenteeism is a social phenomenon extremely important as it is one of the most negative factors influencing productivity within the companies and organisations. This workshop pursuit the following objectives:
- General objective: get to know the total costs of absenteeism at work (direct and indirect), valuing each component. Decide the maximum economic stimulus that a company will pay to reduce it.
- Specific objectives: 1) perform a quantitative and qualitative diagnosis of the causes that makes people to be absent from their workplace: 2) Design a personalised tool to calculate the costs of absenteeism, differentiating direct and indirect costs; 3) definition of relevant indicators to manage Absenteeism at work; 4) Design a “non-cohercitive” methodology that allows to implement adequate measures to prevent and reduce the absenteeism at work, according to the causes it was originated.
