This is the kick-off event for the German Chapter of IEC, I hope we will have the whole core team for discussions, and maybe some interested guests who like to contribute and become active members.
If you have any questions, please just post them here in the forum.
The event is free of charges/fees. Drinks and lunch a la Carte.

I will post the results of the first IEC German Chapter roundtable in this thread.
I hope we get a clear statement on a definition for IEC incubator network after this meeting today, and see what we can contribute as the German Chapter of IEC. Now I will start heading to Stuttgart, have a cigar, read the news and check for the location of the meeting.

Am sure we can all work on this and make it a huge success.

The roundtable/congress yesterday went fine and we have some results.
We could pass a resolution for the German Chapter of IEC regarding the IEC incubator network. The resolution is posted on another thread in this board. Have a look at it and feel free to comment.
After that, the project codenamed Power Beemer could be discussed by the attendants, and there was a lively discussion going on. At the end there are new perspectives for setting up the project. Still, unfortunately we don't have a risk capital seed funding, which the participants determined to be necessary for prototyping and IP reasons. The next steps will involve in preparing the papers/business planning, and start on searching for possibilities of producing a first batch for field testing. The talks show that there are possibilities of integrating the participating active members of IEC in the project team, so this could be a steppingstone for the project, and that IEC proofs working, at least for teambuilding reasons and finding support by experts so far.
The next congress/roundtable will take place in December or early January. Participants are asked to bring in ideas or new interesting topics.

Alex,
This is great effort... I am sure the core IEC German team was present as well.
Could you please share the names of members who attended the first IEC German Chapter meeting? It will be nice to know their profiles.
Looking forward to realization of the IEC Incubator Networks true potential :)
Cheers..

At the roundtable, Chris Spitzer, Martin Leutert and me met for the event. Not many participants, but I see a quality base for the network, and I see a good potential of the people who are active. I hope, Ashant will join as well on the next congress/round-table.

Role by thumb:
2000 participants in IEC
200 participants of a country heavily involved at IEC
20 (really) entrepreneurial active members of a country chapter
2 participants meeting in Real Life for an exchange on IEC incubator network
That's the beginning. Giving it a perspective from bottom-up, it will raise this figures and attract more people to get actively involved. ;-)

Dear Alexander,
Sorry I wasn't able to make it down to the meeting this week. Firstly it totally slipped out of mind, and secondly was at a customer's site all day.
Are you making it to the Indo-German Business Club meeting on 27/11 (next Tuesday)?.
Hope to catch up soon.
Cheers
Ashant

I like this and can almost visualize it. Will be putting all the ideas into the next IEC Pune Chapter meeting happening on 24th November at International Convention Center, the new home for all IEC meets in Pune as it gives us all the facilities of a library, conference rooms, training rooms, art gallery and modern communications.
But we will also be encouraging lite meetups, where members can come only to have a good evening of networking which is very popular and gets the message across to a larger base :)
