    1. Was sind die Ziele des IEC incubator networks?

     Unterstützung von Entrepreneuren, auf Basis eines internationalen Netzwerks
     Austausch von Experten, Informationsaustausch, Know-How-Transfer
     Kennenlernen interessanter Projekte und Schliessen von Kontakten für Projekte, die den Anforderungen an das IEC incubator network genügen (Skalierbarkeit des Businessmodells, marktgerechte Innovationen)
     Frühzeitige Anbahnung & Generieren von Aufträgen, Kooperationen und Joint Ventures für Geschäftspartner im Ausland
     Austausch von Business Angels und am Thema „Entrepreneurship“ Interessierten (insbesondere mit Bezug auf Projekte, die internationale/skalierbare Businessmodelle enthalten)

    1. The aims of IEC incubator networks?

     Supporting Entrepreneurs on an interational level of networking
     Exchange of knowledge by experts, transferring Know-How
     Get to know interesting projects and make new contacts for projects, which meet the requirements of IEC incubator network (scalable business model, market-driven and innovative)
     Early kick-off and approach for generating orders, cooperations and JVs for business partners abroad
     Discussion Experiences with Business Angels and exchange with people who are interested in topics dealing with „Entrepreneurship“ (regarding projects, which involve international/scalable business models)



    2. Wer erhält Zugang zum IEC incubator network?

     Zugang zum IEC incubator network erhalten grundsätzlich all diejenigen, die ein Projekt vorstellen möchten, das den angeforderten Kriterien entspricht (Skalierbarkeit des Businessmodells, Innovation und marktgetriebenes Produkt)
     Zugang erhalten all diejenigen, die sich aktiv an den Diskussionen zum Thema Entrepeneurship beteiligen möchten, ganz besonders diejenigen, die als Business Angels zunächst auf ehrenamtlicher Basis Gründungen unterstützen möchten
     Netzwerker, die bereit sind, eigene Kontakte in das vorhandene Netzwerk einzubringen, um win-win-Situationen zu schaffen

    2. Who can join to IEC incubator network and get access?

     Access to IEC incubator network is basically granted for those who like to bring in a project, which meets the requirements
     Access is granted for those who may participate actively in discussions dealing with Entrepreneurship, especially for Business Angels on a non-profit base
     Networking people, who will bring in their networking contacts for establishing win-win situations.

    3. Ist das IEC incubator network branchenorientiert festgelegt? Wie viele Projekte werden durch das IEC incubator network gefördert und behandelt?

     Das IEC incubator network ist ursprünglich aus mehreren unterschiedlichen (Diskussions-/Networking-)Plattformen im Internet entstanden, und hat sicherlich dadurch Schwerpunkte im Bereich der IT, das Netzwerk ist allerdings branchenoffen, und soll keine reine Vergabestelle für IT-Outsourcing oder Fachkräfteakquisition darstellen.
     Das IEC incubator network legt keine Anzahl von Projekten fest, die vorgestellt werden. Geplant ist die Durchführung eines regelmässigen, monatlich stattfindenden Stammtisches (vorzugsweise in Stuttgart), auf dem etwaige neue Projekte vorgestellt werden können. Es bestehen jedoch keine Quotenregelungen, wieviele Projekte vorgestellt werden, hängt ganz von den Mitwirkenden des Netzwerks ab.
     Das IEC dient nicht nur der Vorstellung von Projekten, sondern auch zum Austausch und zur exemplarischen Begleitung von Projekten. Projekte, die aus der Seedphase heraus im Netzwerk vorgestellt werden, können begleitend beobachtet werden, was insbesondere Informationsgewinn für diejenigen bedeutet, die von den Erfahrungen der anderen bereits begonnenen Projekte profitieren möchten. Inwieweit die Projektaktiven über ihre Tätigkeit und die Fortschritte der Projekte berichten und referieren möchten oder dürfen, steht den einzelnen Mitgliedern offen


    3. Is IEC incubator network branch-driven? How many projects will be supported by IEC incubator network?
     IEC incubator network developed from multiple different (discussion-/networking-)platforms/portal sites on the Internet, thus focussing on IT, but the network is open for all branches and is not meant to be a tool for IT-Outsourcing or acquiring human ressources and experts for IT-projects
     IEC incubator network has no limit of projects which can have presentations. We plan a regular round table/business networking congress (monthly, in Stuttgart), where these presentations may take place.
     IEC incubator network serves not only as a means for presentation of project, but also for exchange and bartering of shares of the project companies. Projects, which will be presented to the IEC incubator network out of the seed stage, may be watched and monitored by the network. This can provide an advantage in informations and experience for younger projects/companies. If the progress of projects and the experience should be shared on a open base, can be decided by the participants on their own.
    4. Welche Projekte können eingebracht und vorgestellt werden?

     Grundsätzlich kann jedes Projekt vorgestellt werden, das die Anforderungen erfüllt. Einen Anspruch auf Unterstützung durch die aktiven Mitglieder des Netzwerks oder eine Vermittlung an weitere Kontakte gibt es nicht.
     Projekte, die vorgestellt werden, sollen kurz erläutert werden, und es soll aus den Präsentationen möglichst folgendes hervorgehen: grob skizziertes Geschäftsmodell, executive summary/teaser/pitch, Beschreibung des Produkts, kurze Bemerkungen zur gewünschten Beteiligung/Mitwirkung des Netzwerks, aktueller Stand des Projekts. Dies ist selbstverständlich nur eine Empfehlung, die Art und Weise der Präsentationen von Projekten stehen den Projektverantwortlichen natürlich frei.

    4. Which projects can be contributed and presented at IEC incubator network?

     Basically all projects can be contributed, which meet the requirements. There’s no legitimate claim on a possibility for a presentation or for connecting project leaders to Business Angels.
     Projects presented should be described in short summaries, regarding a crude description of the business model, an executive summary/teaser/pitch, description of the product/service, and some statements on the needed support and updates on the current development of the project. Of course this is a recommended, not binding.

    5. Wie unterstützt das IEC incubator network interessante Projekte, und was unterscheidet das Netzwerk von bisherigen Initiativen für Gründer?

     Das IEC incubator network bietet über die Zusammenarbeit mit verschiedenen Gruppen vor Ort in diversen Ländern den Zugang zu Ressourcen, Know-How, Projekten, Partnern für JVs, Investoren, Business Angels und neuen Kontakten den Gründern eine Hilfestellung, und deutlich bessere Chancen bei der Inangriffnahme und Umsetzung von Projekten, die auf internationaler Basis aufgebaut werden können (daher die Anforderungen nach einem skalierbaren, innovativen und marktorientierten Geschäftsmodell des Projekts)

     Das IEC incubator network arbeitet unabhängig, nicht jedoch entgegen bestehender Netzwerke und Gründerinitiativen. Es kann somit entweder als Ergänzung dienen, oder als eigenständiger Business Incubator. Auch hier hängen die Möglichkeiten vom konkreten Projekt ab.

     Für Business Angels und Investoren bieten sich Investitions- und Förderchancen bereits ab dem Start interessanter Projekte, oftmals noch vor Veröffentlichungen, Markteinführungen. Bereits ab der Seed Phase bei interessanten Projekten mit im Boot sein zu können, dürfte speziell für auf Seedfinanzierung spezialisierte BA und VC sehr spannend sein

     Das IEC incubator network reduziert durch die Nutzung verschiedener Ressourcen (auch im internationalen Hinblick) und die Einbindung vorhandenen Know-Hows Risiken, während gleichzeitig die Chancen (z.B. durch Produkteinführung eines Produkts auf verschiedenen Märkten) erhöht werden können.

     Das IEC incubator network dient als „Startup-Gewächshaus“, und bringt nicht nur Projekte hervor, die aufgrund seiner Eigendefinition (Businessmodelle zugelassener Projekte) und der beratenden aktiven Mitglieder des Netzwerks, einen wesentlich solideren Unterbau gewinnen können und somit für potentielle Investoren und Partner schon eine Art „Vorauswahl“ sein können.

     Das IEC incubator network hilft bei der Gewinnung neuer Geschäftskontakte, und ermöglicht somit neue Aufträge für bereits etablierte Firmen, die sich auf künftige Entwicklungen rechzeitig einstellen möchten.

     Das IEC incubator network ist ortsunabhängig, und unterhält keine Geschäftsräume oder sonstige stationäre Einrichtungen. Es handelt sich um ein virtuelles Netzwerk, wobei die einzelnen Chapter des IEC die Arbeit des IEC incubator networks vor Ort ergänzen oder unterstützen.

    5. How IEC incubator network works for interesting projects/companies, and what makes it unique for already existing groups or networks?

     IEC incubator network offers a large network, international, for working together with different regional chapters helping with access to ressources, know-how, projects, business partners and new contacts. It supports the seeds for attacking markets and setting up projects on a international based network. (this is way scalable, innovative and market-driven business models are a basic requirement)

     IEC incubator network works independently, but not against already existing initiatives, networks and groups. It can serve as a supplement or a stand-alone business incubator, depending on the particular project situation.


     Business Angels and investors can be provided with interesting projects, just before they start their kick-off and entry on the market. Participating already at Seed Stage should be interesting for investors and business angels which have specialised in seed funding.

     IEC incubator network reduces risks by using international ressources and integrating know-how of the network, while increasing chances at the same time (as products/services can be put on more than one market for redundancy and using synergy effects)

     IEC incubator network serves as a „startup greenhouse“, and evolves projects meeting the requirements mentioned, and supports projects actively by the network. This is why the IEC incubator network can act as a filter for projects (business models which are scalable, innovative and market-driven, and have also a support in knowledge experience) This can lead to a situation, where investors can use the network for distinction (just like quality feature, pre-selection or a testimonial) and reduce efforts on choosing projects where they can contribute. All projects and companies growing out of IEC entrepreneur network meet the basic requirements and find support using the resources of the network. Not providing a full DD, but FROM entrepreneuers TO entrepreneurs.

     IEC incubator network can help acquiring orders for well-established companies, offering new business opportunities, which are focussed on future market developement. It helps established companies, who are looking for good perspectives in the long term and attracting innovations.

     IEC incubator network is independent and doesn’t maintain regional offices. As a virtual network it is supported by the different regional chapters of IEC.
