The problem is that it's just about well-established companies seeking for a new place to sell. Okay, it can be seen as a support for starting up JV. Not anything about real entrepreneurial background. Still a nice event, it shows that the promotion of business developement subsidies and support are (only) accessible for well-established companies. So - No entrepreneurial topic here in Germany. ;-)
But as we see this, it can be a chance for those who try starting up an innovative company. It's a chance starting abroad.

You are right Alex, this is a pure trade delegation. Even I went through the profile and nothing in there which can appeal the entrepreneurs here. But am keeping an open mind and seeking to entice these companies to come in as supporters of the incubation program if not IEC. Lets see how that goes :)
Cheers!

Nice try. But I'm quite sure that only an advance in technology/using production technology provided by German partners could be interesting, as you can always manufacture for the Indian market at manufacturing sites in India. An interesting option is the offer for installing (German) manufacturing lines at Indian JVs. Because of the prices for raw materials (which are not necessarily cheaper here) and the expenses for logistics when ordering pre-manufactured goods from German companies, I see no great advance, but still chances for JVs, as I said. As I posted in another thread here on the board, the chances of India could be in supporting, where the German market fails. And this is entrepreneurial business, putting innovations into realisation.
This will give an advance for both sides of the trade, as India can become a steppingstone for establishing new businesses, which can also be applied to european markets and so enrich the european market with innovations, too. The creation of value will provide both regions with an added value regarding the increase of wealth.
As you see, the stately/public efforts and support is mainly focussed on already established businesses and caring for their issues. And this is exactly the reason why I see an approach for new synergy effects, at least by starting initiatives like IEC incubator network, which can help enabling projects which could not be set up at a regional background. This is not working for "luigi's pizza home delivery service" next door, but it will be applicable for innovative, large-scale, market-driven and (most important) scalable business models.
I think you get my point. ;-)
I will present you with some new papers regarding ideas for co-venturing by E-Mail, which can be an example for any upcoming projects of IEC network. I will also try describing the synergy effects on cooperations, and how Joint Ventures could benefit, no matter if the project will be successful or not. It's all about reducing risks for VC/JV partners by using subsidies. Just have a look at the papers and let me know about your feedback. :-)
The same structures and hints can be applied to other projects as well, I'm sure, it is a possibility for other projects (Ashants project, and all the upcoming scalable projects) of IEC incubation network.
A quite difficult task will be finding an early stage/seed VC who recognizes the synergy effects and knows how to gain an advantage through the concept. It will require open-minded people who love entrepreneurial efforts and feel dedicated, with a strong commitment for seed/startup venturing.
