Recently the winery I have been working for has been exploring the idea of creating a virtual vineyard in online programs like Second Life - http://www.secondlife.com as a way to generate business.

There is a small but viabrant community known as Goreans on Second Life - think Conan for an idea of the type of lives they lead - where wine plays an active role in their role play.

We are considering a test market for a particular type of wine, a pinot noir that actually uses coffee beans in the fermentation process, and something that the Goreans call "blackwine."

Due to legal reasons we can not use the exact term "blackwine" but if your interested in learning more please go to http://www.goreanwines.com.

The site will be undergoing a major overhaul in the next few days but is certainly worth exploring.
