Looking for ideas for applications using Bluetooth low energy technology - Bluetooth Innovation World Cup 2010
After a successful first year of the competition in 2009, the Bluetooth SIG is once again calling on developers, entrepreneurs and students to submit concepts for applications making use of the new Bluetooth low energy technology. The 2010 Bluetooth Innovation World Cup will focus on applications for the sports & fitness, health care and home information and control markets which offer an abundance of possible use cases for Bluetooth low energy technology.

Through participating in the idea competition you do not only have the chance of being crowned the “Bluetooth Innovator of the Year” and getting a prize money of USD 5.000 and a voucher for the Bluetooth qualification program, but there will also be intensive press work and networking opportunities for successful participants. Furthermore, you have the chance of winning an Anritsu Bluetooth Test Set worth USD 17,000!
Innovators from all over the world can submit their concepts through the online IWC database. Submissions will be accepted from June 1 to September 15, 2010. Concepts will be evaluated based on the criteria available at the competition web site competition web site.
The three finalists for each of the three categories will be presented at electronica trade fair in November 2010. The official award ceremony will take place in line with ispo 11 in February 2011.
