    The Council for the Arts in Berlin on 2 invites October 1 Night of the Germans diversity "in the House of World Cultures, and then in various clubs in Berlin. The initiative requires a joint symbol for multicultural diversity in the Berlin cultural institutions. The first issue is the broadcaster radiomultikulti.

    About 15 million migrants live in Germany, of which over 800,000 in Berlin. That diversity of the German societies, is being officially recognised, but in everyday life of the institutions are often not covered. This deficit was recently back in the decision to radiomultikulti stations to close. The Council for the Arts, the independent body of professionals working in Berlin, initiated with the "Night of the Germans diversity" a series of measures to promote cultural diversity. The first issue is the broadcaster radiomultikulti.

    To kick off the "1 Night of the Germans diversity "to discuss under the title multikulti - What to do? Politicians, experts and media representatives. How can diversity in the media landscape reflected? How can the gap between concepts and actions?

    Following Eric D. Clark directed its gala of the road music. The umtriebige house and techno musicians from San Francisco, for years resident in Berlin, is responsible for the selection of ten formations, which are on the streets of Berlin highlighted. From Ska to folk music, from classical to swing, the range: Berlin is for musicians from all over the world an attractive location.

    Following the panel discussion and the Gala of the road music for the party "Night of the Germans diversity" in a number of clubs in Berlin. Under the slogan "Your voice for diversity!" Lie at the participating institutions and clubs signature lists for obtaining radiomultikulti.

    The Council for the Arts represents independent body elected as the Berlin culture. The members of the Council are 22 personalities, to which both artists known Berlin's cultural institutions as well as a freelance artist. The Council for the Arts advises on all upcoming cultural issues, sees itself as a mediator between politics and cultural practice and gives impetus to future developments in the interest of culture in the city and its people. Speaker of the Council for the Arts are Leonie Baumann, Managing Director New Society of Fine Arts, and Bernd M. Scherer, Director House of World Cultures.
