    My client is an American company,which is registered in Pudong, Shanghai.which is in the processing of relocating the Asian headquarters from Hong Kong to Shanghai to support the strategic initiative of opening a warehouse. This relocation will be completed by the first quarter of 2006. Shanghai's company will fully operational as the sourcing & order processing centre for the their hardware International Department.

    Job Title: Regional Manager
    Department: Sales Dept. of Intl’ China
    Location: Shanghai, China
    Report to: General Manager of Intl’ China
    Dotted Line Report to: Regional Sales Director
    Total Number of People Directly Supervised: 1

    Position Purpose:
    Responsible for the Warehouse sales, retail development, product sales and order processing for accounts within the assigned territory.
    Responsible for identifying and brining new business to the organization. Develop short and mid-term plans to grow the sales to existing accounts, project management of store projects and to achieve budgeted sales & profitability for the territory.
    Responsible for achieving sales and profit objectives by increasing sales and profits while managing expenses.
    Serve in a Sales Management capacity for product sourced outside of the USA and shipped directly to the international retailer.

    Job Function:
    Develop and execute the mission, vision, and strategic direction for Warehouse Sales in assigned region, establishing measurable goals and objectives.
    Grow the wholesale sales to our International customers. Identify merchandise programs that that will be successful in the market and get the customer to purchase from our company
    Category Management:
    Evaluate store inventory assortments and product mix to identify missing items that would increase our sales and drive retail sales. This is accomplished by comparing customers inventory assortment to the Discovery set Assortments.
    Identify new business opportunities within the territory and develop strategies to bring on new business.
    Identify new markets or accounts, exchanging information, visiting prospects, closing the deal and training new accounts on how to do business with International.
    Give direction to the Sourcing team to develop competitive product programs with both domestic and international manufacturers that meet the needs of our international customers.
    Assist our customers or new prospects with store projects such as ground ups, expansions and retrofits. Assistance includes project management, store design, interior décor, writing the Opening Stock Order (OSO), employee training and promotions.
    Be the primary contact with our customers in interfacing with our Hardware, resolving problems, communicating new programs, solving claims and maintaining a strong relationship.
    Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Sales Assistants ensuring orders are processed timely and accurately, product moves through the supply chain quickly and efficiently and market products to the customers within the territory.
    Give direction to the sales team developing a result’s focused sales environment.
    Give direction to the sales support and logistics area develop procedures that address all areas of order quoting, credit, order processing, compliance, fulfillment, and shipment of goods.
    Provide leadership to Int’l Trading Team, including recruitment and development of talent to achieve goals and objectives.
    Development and alignment of technology to support business and increase efficiencies.
    Development of new business policy and procedures and achievement of new business objectives to meet sales and profit goals.
    Other ad-hoc tasks assigned by manager

    Job Requirement:
    A minimum of 7+ years in the international retail/wholesale trade industry.
    2+ years supervisory management experience.
    5 years experience in global sales and/or purchasing.
    Supply chain management experience, including purchasing, inventory management, transportation, logistics, compliance, order processing, systems management, CRM, and finance.
    Previous profit and loss responsibility.
    Product Knowledge:
    Knowing country specific consumer preferences,
    Knowing all the products we has to offer.
    Language skills: Excellent in English with strong written and oral presentation skills
    Education: Bachelor’s degree.
    Computer Skills: Proficiency on operation of Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    Travel Requirements: International 30%-40%
