Scalable information retrieval

In this group developers of scalable information retrieval platforms can exchange ideas and experiences. The goal is to bring together developers as well as users of Lucene, Hadoop, UIMA and related projects. Though the focus is on cloud computing solutions, discussions are not limited to it.

Members of this group are invited to announce Bar Camps, workshops and conferences on the topic. For instance there is a quarterly so called "Hadoop Get Together" in Berlin. The focus of the talks as well as the interests of the participants have shown that most use several solutions in combinations.
