  Dear IP Group members,
  
  I am glad to have found this group, since I am deeply interested in all IP-related matters. This group is a wonderful forum to create new contacts and gain new insights in the world of IP.
  
  As a professional, freelance translator specialized in patent translation for about 20 years now, I am familiar with all kinds of translations to be done in a patent law firm or patent department, from patent specifications to correspondence, from official communications to licence agreements, both from English into German and from German into English. Due to a profound education and many years of translation experience, I can cover a wide range of subject areas both in science (especially chemistry) and technology. Working as a patent translator allows me to combine both my fascination for foreign languages and my affinity for technical matters.
