The Position: Chemical Process Engineer
Reporting To: Head of Operational excellence Fine Chemicals BU
Direct Reports: -
Location: Starogard Gdanski, Poland
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
•Technological transfer (Project management - Proposal, design, coordination of implementation
and follow-up)
•Interface with R&D and Production (including Pilot Plant)
•Product Development support
•Manufacturing process improvements and optimization (Coordination and follow up of all ongoing
projects in Fine Chemicals Business Unit (APIs)
•Process trouble shooting
•Process modeling using appropriate tools for scale up studies
•Analyzing Process (use of Design of Experiment (DOE) statistical tools)
•Process/Technology innovation and new technologies analysis
•PAT implementation
•QbD support
•Process documentation set-up and master batch record definition
•Manufacturing standards originator (Analysis of production trends and proposal of changes using
statistical tools)
•Procedure and technological information
•Training on manufacturing process
•Process review and gap analysis (Process engineering and optimization)
•Capability planning and proposal for investments
•Budget preparation coordination and control of variances
•Process validation and trials coordination
•Product and raw materials characterization for implementation in process (process and raw
material management, definition and preparation of BOM’s and Standards for process feasibility
analysis)
•URS preparation for new equipment
•Cleaning validation execution
•KPIs and Benchmarking.
Education: Degree in chemistry, industrial engineering, chemical engineering or related discipline.
English as a second language is a must.
Experience:
The ideal candidate will have the following experience and knowledge:
•Successful experience in Chemical Manufacturing, Development, Process Engineering with
added knowledge of solid state chemistry-process in commercial scale.
•At minimum, 5 years of successful experience in manufacturing and Process Engineering.
•Basic knowledge of statistics and aptitude in information technology.
•Demonstrated expertise in process modeling in technology transfer (laboratory scale, Pilot Plant,
Production)
•Track record in leading productivity teams with demonstrable and definable achievements.

•Ability to work with critical timelines.

•The drive and maturity to lead. Ability to interface effectively with projects and cross-functional
teams.
•Leadership skills. Sets high standards for direct-reports.
