    European Patent Attorney - Biology or Biochemistry in Switzerland - Ref. 123522/3
    We are looking for an experienced European Patent Attorney for a challenging position in Switzerland.

    Your tasks:

    • To provide advice to dedicated R&D and Business Units for the development and implementation of IP strategies and the preparation of business decisions
    • To handle effectively the corresponding global patent portfolio, as well as providing European expertise to the global IP team
    • To draft, file and prosecute patent applications ­
    • To identify inventions and secure valid IP to protect innovation
    • To advise on how to secure freedom to operate from third party rights
    • To give timely IP input on Licensing, Marketing, M&A, Litigation and other activities

    Your qualification:

    • Professional knowledge in the area of international IP law and experience as a patent attorney in agribusiness or other life science area­
    • Qualified European Patent Attorney (at least partial qualification) and/or national patent attorney qualification
    • Excellent understanding of processes and procedures for obtaining international patent protection, preferably with a thorough understanding of internal portfolio management and administration
    • Good understanding of research and development processes and product life-cycle management, preferably supported by professional experience­
