from time to time my iPhone 4 doesn't react on anything else than a hardreset (hold home+off buttons until the iPhone restarts). There is no typical situation for that, eg. it works fine i put it in my pocket, take it out a few minutes later, it does not react on anything.. this problem happens approximately once a day, on some days twice, on others it doesn't even happen.
This problem occurs since the first day i got the phone (about 2 months ago) and didn't go away with any software update, i've now sent it out for a check but would like to know if there is anyone having the same problem or knowing what is the reason for that problem... I'm wondering that there was so much trouble about the antenna gate which never was a problem for me in daily use, but there is nothing about the described problem which is in my opinion much worse, or is it really a one in a million problem?

wtf, is it really possible that I'm out of luck? The new phone I've got, has not only the same bug as my previous one, but it's even worse...
got it yesterday evening, in the morning today I had the first black screen failure and today evening the second one...
further more my w-lan connection at the university doesn't work anymore (with the last one I had some problems too but it worked some how)
and the mail app is very buggy in deleting mails... I delete them and they come back...
earlier I used an ipod 2nd generation, no problems, wether with w-lan nor with mails nor with blackscreens, it was a great piece of hardware, but what about that iPhone 4 it is a great phone but has also a great price and should therefore also work great but it doesn't, at least in my case... :-(

I was at the apple store 2 weeks ago. The nice "genius" guy told me my problem must be a software problem, he directly reseted my iphone to delivery state and since then I had no trouble about any black screen.
I think the problem was my iPod Touch 2G backup that i've used on my first iPhone 4. The solution was simply dropping that backup and reconfigure the phone properties by hand... :-)
