  Turkiye Draws 16.05 Bln USD Foreign Direct Investment

  Turkiye drew some 16.05 billion USD of net direct international investments in the first 11 months of 2008, the Treasury Undersecretary announced on Thursday, January 15.
  
  The undersecretariat made public its international direct investment figures for November 2008 and the first 11 months of 2008.
  
  The Treasury Undersecretariat said that the net international investment inflow to Turkiye was 16.05 billion USD between January and November 2008, with a 14.6 percent decrease over to the same period of 2007.
  
  The same figure had been 18.8 billion USD in the first 11 months of 2007.
  
  Net capital inflow to Turkiye was 13.2 billion USD in the first 11 months of 2008, and it was 599 million USD only in November 2008.
  
  Around 158 firms or branches with international capital were established in November, and this figure was 2,600 in the first 11 months of 2008.
