Ho, ho, ho!
It just snowed a bit in Cologne, so I am in X-mas mode, just before I take off to deliver christmas presents in India.
Our new co-moderator David Perry (
https://www.xing.com/profile/David_Perry7) is used to seeing snow as he comes from the state of New York, halfway from the Canadian border I guess.
David is really into Jazz, he travels around the world to dig Jazz concerts. He will keep you informed about the New York scene and so we have more content in English language, which is great in my opinion.
So a very warm welcome to David and merry X-mas to you all folks!

Hello to all out there in Cyber jazz land...As the new moderator, I shall endeavour to keep my finger on the pulse of things going on not just here in New York, but in the US in general. I learned today that Joel Dorn has died. He was 65 and for all of you out there that know the "32" Jazz label, Joel Dorn was a staple. The liner notes would usually indicate Joel Dorn "For The Masked Announcer". I also learned that Alto Saxophonist Frank Morgan has succombed this week to lung cancer. As moderator, I will be passing along these tidbits of jazz information as they become available as well as concert information, reviews, CD reviews, jazz website information and other resources for our members. Thanks and look forward to our future together here in Jazz Cyberspace! David
