the orange revolution, ending in v. yushenko's victory, looks like to have entered a new phase in ukraine - it could be decribed as bureaucratic and not as it former maybe looked like, a self-destructing-all_is_mine-chaos-order-economy.
the opposition, now in power, has started reorganising the local and central executive authorities. the reform, which has existed on paper for 13 years of independence, is being realised with a breathtaking rate.
allready 4th of february the new cabinet was formed and regional governors appointed, same time as the parliament approved ms. y. tymoshenko premiership - intelligent and beautiful togehter, nice as well as adviced to caution - what a mixture.
yushenko and tymoshenko together startet on february 12 radically changing the structure of power. dramaticly the numbers of central executive authorities were cutted and thus still in process - the major trend lets say so.
an example 14 state committees have been annulled and their functions given to ministerial deps. and this just looks like the beginning.
very important as for me is the fact that yushenko and tymoshenko added a vice premier for european integration to their power (no matter that several cabinet members are not satisfied). europe we are coming!
next and not to forget that yushenko implements 3 key posts immediately: prime minister, state secretary and secretary of the national security and defence committee - so what: authority now even stronger?!!
restructing the bureaucratic is extremly complicated and even dangerous - you can win a revolution but loose the fight for control. let's see how they will handle it, while whishing good luck.
