    Job Description:

    The primary function of this position is to provide Lean support to the business unit. The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:
    1.Completes Lean assignments with minimal supervision.
    2.Provide technical advice and counsel to cross-functional teams assigned to process improvement projects.
    3.Provide technical lean guidance to less experienced employees.
    4.Propose, develop and implement corrective actions within clinical procedures and health services.
    5.Contributes with the creation of processes that meet S&OP requirements and Quality expectations.
    6.Provides procedures and improves quality processes with innovations to improve the productivity and to reduce the costs of the patient treatment.
    7.Prepare corrective action responses necessary.
    8.Provide technical support to both internal and external customers and suppliers as needed.
    9.Formulate and implement quality assurance procedures, policies and standards.
    10.Supervise other personnel as assigned or required.
    11.Other duties as assigned.

    Job Qualifications:
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    *Minimum Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Production, Mechanical) or equivalent is required (advanced degree preferred) and experience in a manufacturing environment.
    *A minimum of 2 years experience in manufacturing engineering or production supervision (required).
    *Demonstrated organizational skills (required).
    *In depth knowledge of formalized lean manufacturing concepts, practices, and tools.
    *Fully Bilingual: Spanish (native preferred) and English
    *High motivational management and leadership skills.
    *Broad understanding of the Lean Management or similar foundation tools & processes.
    *Basic knowledge of various manufacturing operations processes.

    *Demonstrated ability to think creatively.
    *Ability to develop good working relationships between department heads.
    *Ability to coach, train, facilitate, and lead teams effectively in an unstructured work environment

    Responsibilities include:
    *Responsible for the successful development and execution of specific Lean projects into health/clinical processes, such as: Internal and External Kaizens, Kan Bans, one-piece flow production, constraint management, and workplace organization.
    *Responsible for establishing lean teams as well as training and educating members on lean processes.
    *Responsible for systematic and thorough documentation of all lean projects.
    *Responsible for project management and administration to include project direction, implementation, cost/benefit analysis, scheduling and resource allocation.
    *Responsible for all communications related to the projects (including the development of format, frequency, material and audience).
    *Provide direction to the local and regional Supply Chain departments to insure inventory control as well as timely supply of purchased goods, as appropriate to lean management.
    *Establish and maintain monthly progress reviews.
    *Assure consistent application of company policies and procedures.
    *Effectively work cross functionally across all departments.
