    Lean Manager needed in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany
    My client provides products and solutions in the welding industry. Seeking a Lean Manager who will be responsible for the lean transformation at this manufacturing site.

    Job responsibilities
    • Responsible for the manufacturing site lean implementation strategy and execution, utilizing their internal Lean System to include:
    o Value streams identified and framed in a manner that is meaningful to the business and expedient for the transformation
    o Organizational structure reviewed and resources are aligned for the lean transformation
    o Lean Journey Assessments are conducted, reviewed and scores verified
    o Tracking Centers (Site & Value Stream) and Team Improvement Boards are operational and Plan-Do-Check-Act institutionalized
    o Progress reviews and dialogues with external sensei’s to ensure that a strong foundation is being developed and the desired pace is attained
    o Searching out strategic opportunities for applying lean in non-manufacturing areas

    • Responsible, along with the Managing Directors, for the education and development of the manufacturing site to include:
    o Education and development of functional site staff in Lean Thinking
    o Specific development plans for site lean resources

    • Engage in providing input and support in the maturation of their internal Lean System to include:
    o New equipment requirement process engagement (significant capital and all site expansions)
    o Continuous improvement actions on key suppliers and lean logistics interaction with sales companies
    o Quick and effective projects implementation based on VOC.

    Required
    • 4 year degree, Masters degree preferred
    • 2+ years experience working in a Lean environment
    • 4 – 6 years of manufacturing experience
    • Primary role in a lean transformation
    • Educated in lean thinking with demonstrated abilities in lean skills (value stream transformation, visual management, lean fundamentals, etc.)
    • MUST speak German
