Hello,
Have you ever thought about leaning your own operations as a
consultant? Being over 200 days from your home base, wife, kids,
dogs and garden can be quite exhausting;-(( Is it worth the money?
Sure we have to earn a living, and some of us do it through working
in a lean world (at the customer mostly, where we are engaged in
producing the u-lines that will get us to one-piece-flow, no inventory
(at least not more than really needed) and many more things.
Where does the strength of lean thinking for consulting really come
into play?
Bill Harris, a dear friend, systemdynamicist and consultant, has thought
about that question on his blog:

What do you think? How can we live the Gemba? How to not detouch with
the client? What are the benefits from that approach?
Best regards and enjoyable Sunday to all
Ralf
