Hello,
due to visiting Mark Graban's "Lean Manufacturing Blog" (
http://kanban.blogspot.com/) I have come across the following interesting webcast:
http://www.qualishealth.org/lkjhg/asdf.htm
Information on the Alpenglow Medical PLLC can be found under:
http://www.alpenglowmedical.com/
As I have learned today seeking a doctor for radiography seems to be full of muda:
1. Get the receipt at a general doctor (about 30 min)
2. Dashing for the surgery (close by) (10 min)
3. Learning that opening hours are over and asking for another surgery (1 min)
4. Taking the tram to this one (not being able to phone because there are no phonebooks at the phone booths in Germany anymore) (about 15-20 min)
5. Arriving at the surgery (I have been there earlier this year at an 8 pm appointment, so I was sure I would be lucky)
6. Learning that closing hours is 5:30p, last radiographs would be taken at 3:30pm (MRT would be taken till 8-9pm!)
7. The receptionist had no information on other radiological facilities (why should she, since she is not earning money to give advices?)
So this was a complete muda travelling seeking just an appointment;-(
What are your personal experiences in that field?
Looking forward to reading interesting stories on that
Regards
Ralf

Hello,
Just for information: Last week LeanCenter Hungary had a large conference about Lean Healthcare in Budapest, Corvinus University.
Unfortunatelly it was held in hungarian, but next time - if English or German speakers join us - can have interpreters to translate every word.
For those who are interested in the event ( and speak hungarian also) :
