  The Necessary Revolution

  If you really want to see what is possible through lean thinking
  then get a grip on Peter Senge's latest book which ist called
  
  "The Necessary Revolution"
  
  I personally got just drawn into it by finding the story about the
  ecological efforts by BMW (a well known car manufacturer) in
  the beginning of the 90s.
  
  They ended in a "Golden Pony" effect and lots of compromises,
  that are quite similar as to point kaizen and production improvements,
  without overlooking the LARGER PICTURE.
  
  Let's face it and change it;-)

  Thank you for the tip!! I was looking for a book on Lean Mgmt...
  I think the IT industry has a lot to obtain from the manufactuirng industries in terms of process optimizations and quality standards...
