Location: Stockholm
Description:
This is a unique position for a recent graduate in a scientific or engineering discipline. It combines leading-edge software engineering work with project management and customer relations and influencing. In this role you will be working with leading European software developing companies and institutions to enhance and optimize their products for Intel platforms, and to promote Intel platforms as the best hardware foundation for software solutions end-to-end.
The target segments include Small Form Factor devices like netbooks, tablets and smart phones. As an expert in software on Intel Architecture, your roles & responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Provide technical training, consulting, and practical assistance to customer developers, engineering managers, and to Intel peer groups.
- Interface with Intel Engineering and Marketing groups to resolve software related problems that impede the customer's success.
- Provide technical feedback to Intel Product groups to enhance upcoming Intel platforms and products.
- Conduct research, authoring, and presentation of technical papers.
The position offers a great opportunity to hone the applicant's leading-edge technical qualifications as well as develop strong project management and customer relationship skills. It offers a unique insight into key players in the software and mobile industries.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have a Bachelors or Masters degree (or equivalent) in a scientific or engineering discipline.
Requirements:
- Experience in software development is required, preferably for mobile platforms.
- Experience in programming in C/C++ is a must
- An understanding of Intel Architecture, or another processor architecture, is a plus.
- Working knowledge of a Linux*/UNIX* family operating system (OS, e.g. MeeGo*, Android*, etc.) is required;
- Experience in QT, OpenGL or another 3D graphics environment is a plus.
- Fluent English (verbal and written) is essential.
- Good communication and presentation skills are required, and experience of presenting in front of a technical audience is desired
Onsite customer support may involve frequent travel to destinations across Europe. Therefore the successful candidate must have the ability to travel.
