    A brief introduction
    Hello everybody,

I'm using linux since 0.99.2 first for improving my knowledge, from which I had a lot of fun. Since 1998 I liked all the debian stable versions for production purposes (always and only related to security) subsequently in two european enterprises. Having developed a centrally managed distributed iptables firewall solution for traffic filtering and (Free- or StrongSwan) network encryption from 2002 on, I'm now interested in finding somebody who wants to talk about and, perhaps, wants to improve my work. It's released under GPL, available at sourceforge here:

Although its used since 2002, it could be improved in some directions: IPF-Filtering, IOS-ACLs, and the like. The more operatingsystems it supports, the more value it has. Topmost desing criteria should be kept: keep it simple.

Perhaps somebody ist also interested in generally talking about using free software for security? Now as you might think already, I'm not a friend of security by obscurity. Really.

Thank you very much for your reading, any comments are welcome.
    Friendly greetings from Cologne, Germany.
