In a social network, the editor is not responsible for creating content, it is the users that authors and manages the content. Without these type of co-operations within the community on-line encyclopedia like Wikipedia would never have grown to achieve the success that they have.
Social networking is extremely well liked amongst students and pupils. The success of international platforms like Facebook, Myspace or Youtube are only some of the most well known examples of Web 2.0. networking applications. In Germany the platform Studivz is extremely successful example.
The principle of the networks is based on the following points:
* The users forms their own interest groups in the community
* The users are the authors
* The users evaluate content and ranks the most popular contributions
* The community adjusts and supervises themselves independent
As the networks grows, it become ever more attractive as far as the contents are concerned.
