Welcome to the Marine Technology Group. This Group is designed and oriented to provide a Forum addressing recent developments in the Shipbuilding and Shipping Industry. Members are encouraged to use this Forum for exchanging ideas, asking questions, or general discussion of a topic, which will enhance their professional awareness and understanding concerning the current state of the Industry. Thus, allowing the exchange of knowledge and information between Members.

Additionally, issues concerning the transport of goods are addressed, including updates of new Regulations, as issued by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), governing the operation of vessels on the sea.

Another aspect of the Group, is to highlight developments in the Offshore Exploration of Oil, and other Resources and aspects related to their transportation on the sea.

Shipping and World Trade are an essential part of our lives. According to the "Round Table of International Shipping Associations", over 90% of world trade is carried by the International Shipping Industry. Without shipping, the import and export of affordable food and goods, would not be possible. Half the world would strave and the other half would freeze.

Therefore, the primary objective of the Marine Technology Group, is oriented to Improve, and Maintain a high image of the Shipping Industry, its Professionals and related activities.
