    CONVOCATION

    This cultural event counts with the auspices of FONDO NACIONAL DE LAS ARTES , and PATRIMONIO CULTURAL DE LA PROVINCIA DE BUENOS AIRES. And the Institucional support of the MUNICIPALIDAD Y DIRECCIÓN DE CULTURA, ENTE TURISTICO de San Nicolás de los Arroyos, del Centro Argentino de Arte Cerámico and it has been declared to be of “Educative and Cultural Interest”by the Council of Education of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, under Resolution Nº 2671.

    Together with this convocation we want to express our gratitude and our wish to make it possible that “a bit of mud from every place in the world, made with our hands and our tools” gets to us.

    CONDITIONS
    1. All ceramists who are able to handle FIRE techniques and are willing to send their work as a gift, in order to enlarge the patrimony of the Museo Internacional de Cerámica Contemporánea M.I.C.C., will be allowed to participate.

    THE WORKS


    1. Each artist can participate with only one unpublished piece which must be a tile or a mosaic. No sculptures will be accepted.

    2. The size can not exceed 15x15x5 cm. including the frame or support. Pieces out of this size will be excluded by the jury.

    3. The participant works will adjust to ceramic techniques (materials, burning, enamel). Pieces with less than 70% ceramic work will not be accepted.

    4. The theme will be free.

    5. The works must be ready to be hung, with a hook on the back, in the center, 3cm from the top border, and very firm so that there is no risk of it getting loose.

    6.On the back of the tile there must also be personal information, title and techniques (clear and legible)


    THE ARTIST

    1. Artists must send together with the works :
    A) A photograph to be used in our catalogue ( postal o digital)
    B) Participation form with all the information asked.
    C) Curriculum vitae in English and Spanish.


    RECEPTION

    1. The reception of the material will be open from the moment of the present Convocation .


    2. The reception of the material will close on 30 April 2009, stamped by national or international mail.

    3. Works must be mailed only to:

    4. The mailing must be done with no commercial value, as a donation.

    5. Neither the Institution nor the Museum will withdraw any pieces from the airport.


    6. Mail expenses will be on the participants.

    THE JURY

    1.The Jury will be made up of outstanding specialists on the subject and on Visual Arts in general. There will be five members, three international , Canadian, Holand and rep Dominicana and two Argentinian. Their names will be known in due time.


    a)The jury will meet only to decide about the prizes.
    b)The decision of the jury will be unappealable

    2. The Jury will meet on 10,11 and 12 June, 2009

    THE OPENING

    1. The award ceremony and the opening of the exhibition will take place on 13 June, 2009 at 6:00 pm. at ASOCIACIÓN CULTURAL RUMBO,.Y MUSEO INTERNACIONAL DE CERÁMICA CONTEMPORÁNEA (M.I.C.C ) , 9 de julio 82, San Nicolás de los Arroyos. Provincia de Buenos Aires. Argentina

    IN GENERAL

    1. The participation in this Biennial implies the acceptance of all the items in this convocation.


    2. The works will be included in the Register of the Patrimony of the Museum (M.I.C.C.)

    3. Every participant will receive a free copy of the catalogue of the Third Biennial, within the following year as well as a certificate of registration of the works. (In case of a change of address, please inform us)

    4 The member of the Jury as well as the general coordinators will be allowed to send their works but they will remain out of contest.

    5.The winners will be immediately informed of the results by telephone or e-mail.

    6. The decisions of the Jury will be known through the media and our web page:

    CONVOCATORIA


    Este acontecimiento cultural cuenta con el AUSPICIO del FONDO NACIONAL DE LAS ARTE , y de PATRIMONIO CULTURAL DE LA PROVINCIA DE BUENOS AIRES. A poyo Institucional de la MUNICIPALIDAD Y DIRECCIÓN DE CULTURA de San Nicolás de los Arroyos, del Centro Argentino de Arte Cerámico y fue declarado de “Interés Educativo y Cultural” por el Consejo de Educación de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina, según Resolución Nº 2671


    Vaya con esta convocatoria nuestro más sincero agradecimiento y deseos de hacer posible “que llegue un poquito de barro de todo el mundo, hecho con nuestras propias manos, nuestras herramientas de trabajo”.


    BASES

    1. Podrán participar todos los ceramistas que dominen las técnicas de fuego, que estén dispuestos a
    enviar la obra en carácter de donación, con la finalidad de participar e incrementar el patrimonio
    del Museo Internacional de Cerámica Contemporánea M.I.C.C




    DE LA OBRA


    1. Cada artista podrá participar con una sola obra inédita . Esta debe ser (mosaico, tile , azulejo), No se aceptarán esculturas.

    2. Las medidas no podrán exceder los 15cmx15cmx5 cm de espesor. Incluido el sustento, marco bastidor o soporte . Esta condición será excluyente para ser presentada al acto de premiación por parte del jurado.


    3. De la técnica: Las obras a participar se ajustarán a las técnicas cerámicas ( materiales , construcción , quemas y esmaltes) No se aceptarán las que no respeten el 70 por ciento de trabajo carámico.

    4. El tema es libre.

    5. La bra debe ser presentada para ser colgada. El gancho debe estar en el reverso, al medio y a 3 cm
    de distancia del borde superior. Puesto de manera firme e inamovible, que nos asegure el correcto colgado sin riesgo de desprendimiento.

    6.En el reverso tambien deberán figurar los datos del autor, título y técnicas en forma clara y legible.



    DEL ARTISTA

    1. Los artistas deberán enviar con la obra :
    A) una fotografía de la misma para ser utilizada en el catálogo ( postal o digital)
    B) Ficha de participación completa con todos los datos pedidos.
    C) Currículo vitae: en inglés y español.



    DE LA RECEPCIÓN

    1. La recepción de la obra, con la información requerida , queda abierta a partir del recibo de la presente Convocatoria .


    2. FECHA LÏMITE DE ENTREGA DE OBRA: Hasta el 30 de abril del 2009. timbrado postal , por correo nacional o internacional .

    3. Las obras deberán ser enviadas por correo con entrega unicamente en nuestra Institución:

    4. El envío deberá realizarse sin valor comercial , y en carácter de donación.


    5. La Institución y el Museo M.I.C.C no retirarán obra alguna del aeropuerto.


    6. Los gastos de traslado de las obras correrán por cuenta y riesgo de los participantes.


    DEL JURADO

    1.El jurado estará integrado por artistas de destacada trayectoria en esta disciplina y de las Artes Visuales en general . El mismo estará constituido por 5 miembros: tres internacionales y dos argentinos cuyos nombres se darán a conocer oportunamente.


    a)El jurado se constituye sólo para determinar los premios.
    b)Su fallo será inapelable.

    2. El jurado actuará los días: 10,11 y 12 de junio del 2009

    DE LA INAUGURACION



    1. La ceremonia de entrega de premios y la inauguración de la exposición se llevará a cabo el día sábado 13 de junio del 2009 a las 18 en la Sede de la ASOCIACIÓN CULTURAL RUMBO,.Y MUSEO INTERNACIONAL DE CERÁMICA CONTEMPORÁNEA (M.I.C.C ) , en 9 de julio 82 en San Nicolás de los Arroyos. Provincia de Buenos Aires. Argentina

    .
    GENERALIDADES

    1 . La participación en esta Bienal implica la aceptación tácita de todos los puntos de esta convocatoria.


    2.Las obras serán incluidas en el Registro del patrimonio del Museo M.I.C.C.

    3. Cada participante recibirá el catálogo correspondiente a la 3era Bienal en forma gratuita, en el transcurso del siguiente año , como se realizó en las Bienales anteriores. Tambien un certificado de registro de obra. POR FAVOR comunicar cualquier cambio de domicilio para garantizar la recepción de su catálogo, afiche y certificado.

    4.Los miembros del jurado podrán enviar obra como así tambien los coordinadores generales, pero estarán fuera de concurso.

    5.Los premiados serán notificados inmediatamente vía e- mail ó telefónicamente.

    6.El fallo del jurado será divulgado en los medios de difusión y se publicará en nuestra Pag Web:
