    Description

    Manages the definition and development process of mobile communication software (SW) systems for platform or customer projects according to market requirements
    - Supporting the system project manager to ensure that the overall system can be developed in time, budget and quality according to defined processes
    - Planning of SW project schedule, budget and resource demand; providing links and dependencies to the system schedule
    - Monitors the SW project from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and monitoring budget/spending
    - Provides leadership for the project team and key interfaces to the project or program
    - Organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the project i.e. product on schedule and within budget constraints
    - Responsible to manage risks in the software (sub-)project and contribute to the risk management of the whole system
    - Reporting of project status, including project specific and company defined KPI’s to customer, management and project team
    - Coaching of functional / sub-project managers and component leads in preparing of work package schedules and managing for on-time deliveries
    - Managing external partners & suppliers

    Qualifications

    - University / University of applied sciences: Degree in Electrical Engineering or Information Technology or Computer Science desired
    - Very good project management knowledge and experiences in complex projects mandatory
    - Experienced in design of GSM/UMTS/LTE for Mobile Terminals necessary
    - Knowledge of wireless specifications (e.g. 3GPP) and features for Mobile Terminals
    - Experienced in working according to development processes and in matrix organizations
    - Work experience as software project manager in Telecommunication and embedded systems of at least 8 years required
    - Very good communication and presentation skills required
    - Team player, proactive and able to drive teams to achieve results
    - Experience of project planning tools, preferable MS Office desired
    - Fluent in (spoken and written) German (preferred) and English required
