Bomb at Moscow Bank - Jan 25th
MOSCOW, Jan. 25 (Xinhuanet) -- Security guards of a commercial bank in downtown Moscow removed a mail bomb on Tuesday, one month after an explosion rocked another office of the same bank.

The bank's security staff removed the device after receiving ananonymous warning call and placed it in a dustbin, where it exploded, Interfax news agency cited the bank's press service as saying.

Moscow's deputy prosecutor Vyacheslav Rasinsky said the device was a parcel bomb sent to the Bank of Moscow.

The Itar-Tass news agency later reported the force of the explosion was equal to 100 grams of TNT.

The site of the incident has been sealed off and experts are working at the scene. A criminal case on terrorism has been openedand an investigation is underway.

The same bank was targeted last month, when a similar explosionrocked its another branch in the west of the city causing no injuries.

Rasinsky said law enforcement agencies have received information indicating a series of such crimes are being planned.

Looks more like an attempt to blackmail the company to me than terror, but of course it is also a nice news headline to scare people. What do you think?
