    Couture Fashion Week Starts in Mumbai
    Hello Everyone,

    India's fashion industry is showcasing the country's talent and Mumbai is where it's all happening at the moment!

    Couture Fashion Week kicks off today, and while India is no stranger to fashion awards and prêt-a-porter (ready to wear) collections, this will be the country's first designer couture fashion show.

    A total of 11 of India's finest couture designers are set to take part in this glamorous event, which will be held in the Grand Hyatt Mumbai from September 16 to September 21, 2008. Unlike many fashion shows, it's not going to be a large buyer-orientated event, but rather a grand celebration of Indian cultural heritage.

    India Couture Week in Mumbai
    Hello Everyone,

    Ace designer Varun Bahl's collections blended the traditional outfits of the Mughal era with the Elizabethan dynasty at the Couture Week in Mumbai on Saturday.Tarun Tahiliani's collections were an ensemble of elegant hues plus a riot of colors.

    Speaking about couture fashion, he said that in today's ready to wear world, couture could not remain esoteric.
