The Cure for E.D. (Erectile Dysfunction) may well be D.E. (Diet and Exercise).
This article is for men with erectile dysfunction that may be able to solve this problem by making changes in their diet and getting more exercise. It’s worth a try!

How’s your weight? Have you been packing away burgers and fries and colas? Did you end up with a belly hanging over your pants? Obese people do not have lively sex lives. Your doctor will probably run blood tests and discover that you have elevated blood pressure, high cholesterol, high triglycerides and high blood sugar… classic symptoms of Syndrome X, a metabolic disorder and a precursor to full-blown diabetes. He will want to put you on anti-hypertensive drugs, and Statin drugs, such as Lipitor. All of this stuff has undesirable side effects. That’s why I’m going to suggest a better way… a natural way to rejuvenate your health and your sex life.

A healthy diet is one that has plenty of protein from wild-caught fish, such as salmon and sardines and other cold-water fish; free-range chicken or turkey that hasn’t been fed antibiotics or hormones; the fat should come primarily from Omega 3’s, such as flax seed oil or fish oils and extra-virgin olive oil… remember that we need fat in our diets to burn fat; and where the principle carbs come from fresh, organic veggies and fruit… but not fruit juices, which are very high in sugar. Include avocados, seeds and a few nuts (but remember that nuts are dense in calories, so a whole container of macadamia nuts wouldn’t be a good idea.

Avoid processed foods. If you read the labels, it will scare you… if you can’t pronounce it and don’t know what it is, you have no business eating it! Avoid anything that has partial-hydrogenated oils… this really mess up your body chemistry. Avoid bacon and processed meats, as they contain sodium nitrate and sodium nitrite.

Beware of High Fructose Corn Syrup, which has invaded the food and beverage industry since 1996. It’s a cheap sweetener, but it plays havoc with your metabolism and messes up your hormones.

    • Increased levels of triglycerides, which is linked to an increased risk of heart disease. A study by the University of Minnesota found that fructose "produced significantly higher [blood] levels" of triglycerides in men than did glucose.

    • Accelerated bone loss. A study by the USDA, published in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition, found that fructose may alter the body's balance of magnesium, leading to increased bone loss.

    • A review of multiple studies by Havel and colleagues, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, found that, in animals, consuming large amounts of HFCS:
    o Induced insulin resistance
    o Impaired glucose tolerance
o Produced high levels of insulin
o Boosted a dangerous fat in the blood
    o Caused high blood pressure

The first thing to do is to give up all soft drinks and other sweetened beverages that contain it.
Many people have food allergies that they may not even be aware of, such as gluten (found in wheat, rye and barley), corn, soy and yeast. Start by eliminating these from your diet and see how you feel.

A large plate of pasta is processed as glucose (blood sugar). This triggers an insulin release to deal with all that blood sugar and insulin stores it away as body fat!

Grab your mate and take a brisk walk after dinner. It’s far more beneficial that watching TV. Make it a daily habit. Or get bicycles and go cycling… not just on weekends.

Most people take in too many Omega 6’s in relation to Omega 3’s. You get Omega 6 from soy, sunflower and safflower oils. Omega 3’s come from high fat fish like salmon, but are conveniently packaged in gel capsules, so there are no excuses like “I don’t like fish.” The best Omega 3’s probably come from Krill Oil, which isn’t polluted by Mercury. Farmed Atlantic salmon is loaded with mercury and PCB’s. Wild salmon is available fresh, in season, and frozen the rest of the year.

“In a study of overweight adults, Australian researchers found that a combination of exercise and fish oil supplements was effective at reducing body fat and improving cholesterol levels and blood vessel function.
Study participants who took fish oil, alone or with exercise, saw their levels of "good" HDL cholesterol go up, while their triglycerides (an unhealthy form of blood fat) took a dip. Meanwhile, both exercise and fish oil seemed to cut body fat.”

Follow this simple suggesting the next time that you visit the grocery store. Shop only on the outside aisles of the store. That’s where you find the fresh produce, meat and fish. The entire center section is controlled by enemy troops… they smile and beckon you with aisle after aisle of candy bars, chips, jams, ice creams, pastas, frozen pizzas and the like. If you step foot into their territory, resistance is futile… you will be assimilated! If you don’t give any of your dollars to the enemy, then you will have plenty left for organic foods… which is what you should be eating in the first place.

If you do all this, you’ll drop the extra pounds, improve your cholesterol and triglyceride levels, lower your blood pressure and build some good healthy muscles. This diet is anti-inflammatory, so your heart health will also improve. You’ll just plain feel better and have lots more energy… and probably will start to feel frisky.
