    Stem cell technology
    Hello everybody,
    I have just read an article on stem cell technology now being used in the production of anti-ageing creams.
    Since the article is already well published, I do not think that I may be advertising a product here - I am just curious..
    According to its US makers, Amatokin ( £135, 30 ml ) was developed by a team of Russian biotech scientists researching the treatment of burns at the "super-secret" Research & Production Centre for Medical Biotechnology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation near St Petersburg and its sister institution in Moscow.
    Amatokin is said to have provoked a shopping scramble at the Sephora store in Paris last November when it first came available.
    Amatokin contains a lab-engineered polypeptide with the ability "to stimulate dormant stem cells in the skin and rejuvenate the skin."
    Don't you think that even by the standards of the beauty world, this is quite an astonishing claim?
    Or, am I just dreaming?!!:-)
