  I do love the straw poll! Giuliani didn't even show up because he knew that Romney was massively campaigning. As far as I know, Tommy Thompson already withdrew his candidacy, and I'm sure other "disappointments" will follow...
  I don' have the source ready, but a recent poll found out that a lot of US citizens say an independent candidate (Bloomberg maybe?) would make the elections more open to new ideas.
  Unfortunately, only 5 percent said they would eventually vote for an independent.
