  Hello,
  
  after developing server side applications on Oracle DBs in PL/SQL for over 5 years, I recently had to move to PostgreSQL.
  I am building up an ERP system based on an object-relational data model newly implemented from scratch.
  Regarding the handling of stored procedures (what I use excessively) I find there are some serious lacks compared to Oracle PL/SQL.
  On the other hand PostgreSQL is a slim system focused on being a database - and it's free!
  So I think that after getting in-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL the development of really powerful applications should be possible.
  Looking forward to find and share the in-depth knowledge in this group.
