  I am a Berlin-based Webdeveloper programming mostly in Ruby these days. Once I discovered PostgreSQL, database-programming got fun and rewarding again. MIgrating a PHP-based app to RubyOnRails was easy because the PostgreSQL-DB was built to be constistent on its own. If you're interested, I used Foreign Keys, Views and the Rule System to achieve that.
  
  For new projects, I always suggest PostgreSQL, migrating apps from other RDBMS to PostgreSQL is something that I often plan but never had the time to do. I also try to bring PostgreSQL forward by using it in my open-source software or giving talks about it.
