    Hello,
    let me introduce myself...

    After I developed web applications for quite some time I needed database backends for various reasons.
    At that point I was trying to get satisfied with some strange implementations of databases and it took me a while until I reached PostgreSQL.
    All those other databases like MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle and such gave me at least a lot of reasons to love PostgreSQL.

    Now I'm absolutely happy since a few years of PostgreSQL use as I'm able to realize everything I can image without great hazzle, with increasing consistency and more and more nice features. And all that with an actually free license - totally stunning.
    I'm using PostgreSQL for more than five years now in all my database related activities, for personal things and also for professional development.
    I still continue to find new and interesting things and even started developing my own database extensions in C and I can't really think of any upcoming showstopper.

    Looking forward to share and communicate things about the worlds most advanced opensource database here in the group.
