  • Welcome - To start this forum going an open invitation.

Presence Networks are a powerful way of cutting down the noise around us and focussing on the relationships that matter whether one-to-one, or within a wider circle. For people who have never used consumer Instant Messaging - and even those of you who have - we extend an open invitation to try our B2B secure IM/VoIP presence network free and discuss with us the various ways this type of service can be applied to business. One key application is the use of VoIP to replace expensive telephone costs. But the value of Presence extends beyond simply cost cutting because such networks enable real time working and cut down on voice mail and email ensuring that the people we need to talk to can get to us. We welcome your views and ideas in this forum - from other technology companies, from potential users and from sceptics. Please feel free to comment.

  • Microsoft / MCI deal, who wants to be a Telco?

The world turns again; the announcement this week of the Microsoft MCI deal in my view should have every Telco watching its back. When presence is ubiqitous in every networked device and voice is as simple always a click to talk worldwide then who will want a phone? Instant Messaging in my view is still the killer application for bringing VoIP onto every PC and mobile device. Welcome views from others?
