    About me :)
    Hi Pentaho-Community!

as a new member in this group I would like to say some words about me.

My company offers 3 different services (called "divisions") for customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland:
+ services (basically remote-administration and 2nd/3rd Level Support for Apple, Sun and other systems)
    + development (Java-based programming)
+ products (ConSol* has an own product called "ConSol*CM" which enables web-based ticket-management
    with an own workflow-engine)

I work as a Consultant for the products-division which means that I'm one of the guys travveling to the customers,
installing, configuring and customizing our product for the individual customer.
This also includes creating reports and (from time to time) synchronizations with other systems and that´s why
    I joined this group.

Currently it seems, that we will do more with the Pentaho BI Platform, Reporting and PDI (Kettle) products.
We already have done some basic installations for the customer and implemented some reports with very nice
results and good feedback from the customers sites ("Reports look nice", "cool Web-Interface for the reports" etc.)

Regarding my activity in this group I assume that (from time to time) I will ask some technical questions on "how to
do this or that". Hopefully my skill will increase soon, so that I will be able to answer such questions for other members :)

My other skills involve Oracle Databases (some admin, more development [PL/SQL, SQL]), Java Programming,
HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Perl, PHP which have all proven useful in my past 7 years at ConSol :)

In my private sparetime I enjoy geocaching, motorcycling, (if possible) diving and reading.

Ok, I don't know what to write so I close my initial posting :)

    Greetings from Munich!

    Tom
