Introduction Matthias Rothkoegel
Hi dear fellow members of the Pentaho Community!

I came across Pentaho just a few days ago in the course of a promotion for a webcast. And since I found the solution very interesting, I thought it would be a good idea to join this group and learn more.

Some background to my person:
I've been working for 9 years in the area of direct marketing in several postions. Starting as a student trainee in a call centre, following my first managing position as Key Account Manager.
My next role at Nokia was in Closed Loop Marketing & CRM, so by far more analytical. Data base marketing was key, and I'd have appreciated tools like Pentaho by that time.
From 2009 to 2011 I was responsible for all Demand Generation efforts in EMEA at Pillar Data Systems, working primarily on the marketing automation tool ELOQUA and running BI with Oracle OnDemand CRM.
In April 2011 I ramped up my own agency, Engage Marketing (http://www.engage-marketing.de), and consult bigger and smaller companies in their direct and online marketing efforts, with a key focus on marketing automation.
