Global Business Climate
Greetings Everybody,

It seems that the world is in a major state of perpetual change, due to forces such as technology, business regulation/compliance, politics, and amongst other things, chaning mindsets and thinking. Such things probably be viewed as "evolution of minds"; just on a much bigger scale.

My company (small for now, though it will grow) mainly assists companies, individual busines owners, and others handle the multi-faceted complexity of business regulation and governance. Many parts of our world are experiencing and dealing with some type of regulation: US has SOX, AML, BSA, HIPAA, Patriot Act, and now the growing issues of the integrated trading systems, which will have a side effect into other parts of the global. In the EU, the Basel II Accord has caused some disruptions in normal business flow, though it has also brought into light the need for control over certain aspects of business. Let us not overlook the increasing governance that is developing in South/Central America, Africa/Middle East (esp. Dubai mainly), and within the Asian area.

I would like to bring about the needed change in individuals' minds and in corporations who are struggling in handling these complex regulations. Additionally, I would like to push into other areas outside the US, as I feel we are no longer supposed to only introduce our services within one geographical location. Just being able to provide "audit", "risk assessment" work is not enough nowadays. Begin able to see some time ahead is a must, and also possessing the knowledge to realize that what worked in the past, may not work any longer. As the old saying goes, "you can not solve today's problems with yesterday's answers".

I look forward to meeting other people who also see the change that is going on in the world, and who also want to be a part of it. One small piece at a time.
