    CONGRATULATIONS to EGYPT !!!

My sincere congratulations to the people of Egypt who have been peacefully fighting for democracy and freedom during the last 18 days.

I share your joy and celebrations about the end of decades of dictatorship! February 11, 2011 has become a history making day and will not only be remembered in Egypt but around the world for all eternities.

Political leaders from around the world have sent their congratulations and what is celebrated today with so much joy and enthusiasm since hours in whole Egypt, especially at Tahrir Square in Cairo, as well as at so many places around the world, is the beginning of a new era in Egypt.

Egypt can be proud of all its great and wonderful protesters who stood up against a political system of inhumanity, torture, oppression and exploitation, a system where a few lived at the cost of majority, a system, which is responsible for starvation death of so many poor people in Egypt, people who had no chance because the system and its followers took it all.

The end of inhumanity in Egypt, the end of dictatorship of Mubarak and his era will never come back, and although there are some more steps to take on the road to democracy, the worst is behind the people of Egypt and they have paved the way for the “real” Egypt. That is what is celebrated by millions of people now and there is one sentence around everywhere:

    CONGRATULATIONS to EGYPT !!!
    تهاني

The beautiful country, which has not been a "beautiful" country for the poor and oppressed,
and for most people in Egypt during the last 30 years.

I wish the people of Egypt all the luck and success of the world for the future
and I share all the joy of this very special February 11 with all my Egyptian friends.

And we also should not forget the TUNISIAN revolution, which began in December 2010 in Tunisia, and which is a “State of Emergency” at present, where thousands of people stood up against poverty, unemployment, corruption, food inflation, poor living conditions and no rights of freedom of speech.

The internet was the biggest supporter for the protesters in Egypt during these 18 days
and now people around the world are exchanging messages, pictures and videos
to celebrate this very special night together with Egypt online.

My congratulations and very best wishes
to all my Egyptian friends and to all the people of Egypt,

    Angela Nilsson

This is a video on YouTube with more than 58.000 hits already, sent to me by a friend in Egypt.
I couldn’t find a translation of the lyrics into English but I think that is not important now.

This video is for the loving memory of all those who lost and gave their lives for the freedom of Egypt.
May they R.I.P., they will never be forgotten.
