    Group newsletter: Great Young Egyptians
Thanks All for your great support and prayers to our Great young Egyptians
Thanks God I have seen that Dream as a reality

We are all very proud of young Egyptians and we all feel a big responsibility
You may know that I am the founder of the Egyptian Real Estate association EREA
I believe that is the time to work hard and to get Egypt Back to its position

I was thinking about u and an apartment for each young Egyptian
Many young Egyptians are UNABLE to dream of having an apartment

I need your help by recommendations and ideas , How to solve that issue which is rather serious
We need new ideas on construction to cut short the cost

Please reply to my e mail alimehilba@yahoo.com

I have another idea to support the finance
    Something like Lottery
To pay e.g $100 and those who win will pay the rest over reasonable period
it is a sort of support

Others may contribute few 100s to support that project

I can explain that later in depth but I need to have your feedback

    Have a great day
    Ali

    Dear Ali,

even in Germany young folks or "Generation practicum" (age30+), can't pay a flat- except the state/council doing some replacements.

Two facts are basics for sustainable solution:

1)Mobility, i.e. to places of demand, initiate a settlement
2)define a work space and educate them

My recommendation for you as restless networker in Real Estate business segment:

Green/ Parkdesign your open space areas and teach them for care and maybe even facility management activities.

I was educated to design those places. Further I am the owner of an education license to teach skill workers besides a lot professional experience with urban planning "instruments".

This should be a good start into the work phase of young professional with forecast. An university study is bliss, nevertheless not always required for anybody.

In result, both sides are glad about own life responsibility and apartment owners/ principals/ users about prosperous garden in bloom, sparkling houses, maybe incl. better security environment.

    Have a great day also
    Lutz

p.s.: Lottery is not my opinion...sorry, but good luck ;-)

I have another idea to support the finance Something like Lottery To pay e.g $100 and those who win will pay the rest over reasonable period it is a sort of support

    Dear Ali,
Has this become Las Vegas and easy money-making?
Or your Black Swan? "10 days in 50 years." (From Nassim N. Taleb; does not refer to the last 18 days in Egypt for those who are not familiar with 'Black Swan'.)
Do the 'great young Egyptians' that each should have a house/flat/apartment, thus afford the expenses, according to you, have the money to buy bread today?
You should well know the rank of human needs as a Prof: food, shelter, etc.
I definitely agree with Lutz on his argumentation.
Egypt would need to apply all green technology (especially solar & wind since she has plenty of both) and much education - for future generations and for those who have sacrificed so far and are still doing so today.
    My best regards,
    Nilgun

    Please let us calm down.
These are very special moments in Egypt, shared around the world, and it is more than legitimate to have any kind of ideas and dreams now, and it is not a time to come with a wagging finger.
By the way, Egypt is a leading country concerning wind energy for a longer time already.

We can discuss, on a constructive level, but I don’t feel comfortable in any way with discussions that have a negative connotation in a know-it-all-manner.
Now it’s time for sharing and we have seen how great that can work, the people of Egypt have shown it to the whole world: hand in hand – together.
And – everything starts with a dream, when and whether the dream will come true is not the main point, but it is an essential driving force for all kinds of plans for the future.

And a last remark: many of the young protesters have been students or have a university degree, there is no need to tell them that they have to “clean some parks” first before they can think about their professional future.

    Hello Angela,

it is no need to misunderstanding me...at the other hand considered: You got right. My statement had a constructive kernel, but sure it is a bit selfish in a manner it is no need to be altruistic that way as we are looking forward in own agendas.

I am eagerly waiting for new times, where e.g. less German architects and construction workers work in Egypt as there hopefully will be great opportunities and chances for Egyptian architects, working not only in Egypt but around the world.
I am eagerly waiting for new times, where nobody tells the people of Egypt what they have to do and what not.

Sure, dream the dream than acting or role a dime...;-)

I have no doubt that Egyptian architects are good professionals. Nevertheless in my hometown, Berlin/ Germany, international architects getting the most important construction missions. Even our official leading Consultant in urban development administration arrived just from Zurich/ Swiss.

In fact, sometimes it is useful when employers between political and professional layers care a healthful distance to the subjects. This is my lecture of reality check in a global growing world.

At the end of the day: Recommendations are no orders, please.

    Kind regards
    Lutz

With all due respect to “realism” – I am more than sure that the people of Egypt are not “blue-eyed” and know quite well that it will be a long way to real democracy and to changes to the better for all.
But please, don’t step on anybody’s dreams now – we have just seen a dream coming true and for the rest… time will tell.

My very best wishes to all,

    Angela

    Dear Angela,
My comments never had a 'know-it-all-manner' as you define them; even though I know the reality of Egypt very well and my adoration and respect of the country is well known.
My comments have always been, by far, extremely constructive.
I have been a consultant on renewables (solar&wind) and sustainable development in Misr since 2009 and our work is at halt at the moment.
As for your last comment on cleaning the streets I am afraid there is a contradiction with one of your postings:

Please, let Ali answer the comments to his own newsletter.
    Kind regards,
    Nilgun
By the way, I have a tree, among some others, planted in the desert of El Quseir baring my name. I wonder if anybody had a chance to water them...

How 'I say it' does not change the reality dear Angela - if you are suggesting people should dream, let them dream.
Though, I am asking myself for how long?
At the cost or benefit of what/whom?
In some situations, dreaming may be a great luxury - don't you agree?
'Let Ali answer' was by no means asking your permission; it was simply and ' kindly' asking you to avoid answering to his postings - anything wrong with that?
I do hope that I have made myself clear and wish to hear some positive comments on Egypt and the ongoing military situation.
    Regards,
    Nilgun

    Thanks all for your contribution
    that is a good brainstorming
being the founder of the Egyptian real Estate association EREA , I am trying to get your feedback and search for best options that EREA can do better efforts
I think we need at least 2 to 3 monthes to have an action plan and start , so I am so happy with any feedback regardless if we agree or disagree but that is Brainstorming
The idea of Lottarey is not applicable in Egypt but it is something like that where people support each other and each one can get his/her money back
One posititeve thing we can easily see in that revolution that all Egyptians were supporting each other
Some of those great Young Egyptians are of High class and well off but they are keen and in love with Egypt

Ofcourse I love to have any advice especially those of clean energy and law cost
    Thanks to all
    Ali
