  Initiative zu einem Thesaurus für Begriffe in der Konservierung

  there is no such thing.....
  frustrated from hours of searching for a thesaurus of common expressions in conservation, I started this initiative on my own. The only comprehensive written source I know of is "courier speak" by Cordelia Rose, (the Smithsonian Museum, Washington DC, USA). Everything else is scattered all over the places and proper information is hard to find.
  
  The aim of this initiative is to create a standard vocabulary that can later on be used in any data base for conservation / restoration by everyone. Something similar to CIDOC and their approach to define one standard thesaurus for metadata descriptions of collection objects.
  
  If you are a professional in the field of conservation and you would like to contribute to this initiative, feel free to do so. Be invited to share your knowledge and spread the word. Make this place known among your colleagues and co-workers, students and professors.
