A solution for small businesses, bartering
Considering the times we are living and the fact that the cash reserves are, generally, going down I started thinking about solutions to help small businesses.
A solution for this problems is to barter but sometimes is hard the right partners or the right products or services to barter for.
So I've launched a online bartering platformed, only for the Romanian market, available at http://barter.eimm.ro .

It's 100% free to use and also I must say that it is a non-commercial project (it does not generate any revenue for the owners).

I welcome your feedback and I invite all of you to use it.

For any other questions please do not hesitate to send me an email.

    Thank you,

Hi Daniel - this looks like a very clever thing to do. As always, in the times of need, we become more innovative.

Or it is just a Romanian thing...:-) "Nevoia il invata pe om"...:-)

Congratulations for being so innovative and creative!

First of all, thanks for your good words :)

I always believed that one's ability to adapt is the key to success.
Embracing the idea of barter trade can help a lot of companies in Romania.

I must say that barter.eimm.ro is only the first project in a series of projects that are designed to help small and medium companies from Romania, the biggest surprises are still to come.
The idea behind all this projects is to provide a service with an immediate and profitable result.

What this project needs right now is a " leap of faith" from the companies in Romania, from those companies that are not used to barter and do not trust this idea, even if it's not a new idea, bartering has been with us since long time ago.

Perfect - so, let's start "educating" them...

First of all, let's try and define the "target" - and let's imagine an "ideal scenario" of 3-4 bartering partners...

    I'm thinking maybe:

    - a small translator's office
    - an architecture practice
    - a catering company
    - a small taxi company

Or, please give us a better choice of "fitting" potential partners. How and what can they barter? It looks like each of them could make us of the other's products and services, right?

    How does it work?

    Thanks,

This is exactly what I'm trying to do right now, educating them.

Your examples are very good, we can also define the target as:
    - software companies
    - online and offline publishers
    - leasing companies
    - hotels

Right now the system works in a simple way: you post an ad stating what you can offer and what you need and then you wait to be contacted by a potential partner.
The system is simple because simplicity is needed when introducing a new way of doing things.

In the near future, as the project will grow in offers, I intend to implement a functionality that will suggest "perfect matches".

Until now I've promoted the service only using social media, addressing groups of people but now I'm thinking "what if" I try to contact companies that fit the profile and try to educate them, one by one, until the project gains "critical mass" so it can grow by itself, fueled only by the "community" built around it ?
The only thing I fear is that my message could be interpreted as a trivial spam email.
