    When Seam fails...

    Ich bin gerade über einen sehr interessanten Artikel gestolpert.

    Der Autor greift eine klassische Diskussion der Anhänger von typisierten Sprachen (Java, C, .NET, ..) und nicht-typisierten Sprachen (Ruby, Groovy, ...) auf: Nämlich die Fehleranfälligkeit gegenüber Tippfehlern, welche häufig erst zur Laufzeit gefunden werden können.

    Als Java-Entwickler wähnt man sich zunächst auf der sicheren Seite, denn offensichtlich knallt sowas wie
    myObejct.myMetod() schon zur Compilezeit.

    Scheinbar ist diese Fehlerquelle also eher typisch für die Jungs aus der Scripting-Ecke... Oder etwa doch nicht?

    Seam und JSF2

    Hallo,

    gerade tut sich wirklich so einiges im Bereich Seam. Aktuell bin über eine Artikelserie von Dan Allen gestolpert, der aufzeigt, welche Ideen von Seam in JSF2 Einzug gehalten haben.

    Sehr spannende Perspektive - denn die Frage "was soll ich mit Seam wenn JSF 2 draussen ist?" hört man ja öfter. Und außerdem ist ja irgendwie alles von Dan Allen extrem lesenswert ;-)

    Weld definitiv in JEE 6

    Hallo,

    Nachdem es ja immer noch einige Zweifel gab, ob WebBeans / Context & Dependency Injection / Weld es nun endgültig in die JEE-Spez schafft, scheint das endgueltig geklaert zu sein:

    CDI (JSR-299) and Weld 1.0 are almost a reality. We've got word from Sun that CDI and the rest of Java EE 6 will be
    submitted to the JCP on November 9. I've spent the last few days filling out the Javadoc for the CDI API and SPI
    packages and making some last-minute cleanups to the spec. Meanwhile, Pete and the others are fixing bugs in
    the RI and TCK. This process has taken more than 3 years, and an incredible amount of pain, but we're now
    looking at one of the most well-reviewed JCP specifications ever.
    Übrigens - kann mir mal jemand erklaeren was "TCK" bedeutet?
