Just a mini-job, but perhaps somebody can recommend a good style advisor to help me create a professional looking avatar? So far it still has a very newbie-like look, and I would like to have a better representation if I meet clients in-world.

Hi - we could help you out. As part of our full service Second Life offering we design custom avatars. Recently we launched 'Mute' for UK based recording artist Richard Hawley which involved creating a highly realistic avatar which also used motion capture to create lifelike movements. If you'd like to discuss your requirements off-list email me at dom@copop.co.uk.

I know it's a bit late, but I just joined this forum -- I do avatar makeovers. Not creating custom avatars, or photorealistic treatments, though! My usually session runs about 3h and costs L$5K/hr. It involves a full interview on your personal style (which may be derived from taste in literature/movies/pop culture as much as or more than what you wear in RL), and then an introduction to designers who would fit your style, and the assembly of one to three "looks" for you.
Find Shava Suntzu in world.
